WebI removed my network adapter for a while. When I installed it again XP thought it was another adapter. This makes it impossible to change back to the old IP adress, because XP tells me that there is already a network card that has that adress. How do I remove this old adapter settings? Solution: Manually delete the entry from:- WebRemove the greyed-out adapters under Network Adapters. These adapters had been present at some point in the past, but have been removed for one reason or the other.
