Congenital hypertrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium (CHRPE) is a typically benign, asymptomatic, pigmented fundus lesion. It is a congenital hamartoma of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and occurs in three variant forms: solitary (unifocal), grouped (multifocal) and atypical. WebThe CHRP Knowledge Exam (CHRP-KE) is required for the CHRP designation and is only valid for the CHRP. The CHRP-KE comprises 175 multiple-choice questions, 20-30 of which are test questions.
