But being able to detect something after it has happened and being able to prevent an issue are two different things. We rely heavily on AV-Comparatives real-world test results to pick an validate our AV prodcut. WebSure is. Bitdefender all the way. We use webroot but I’m not a fan. I use Bitdefender at home and find it solid, where as webroot couldn’t stop a wet fart. We have been using both for a little while, Bitdefender can be more noisy with phishing blocks, but we also had Bitdefender stop a suspect phishing email.

For Windows 10 you don't need anything more than the already installed Windows Defender and maybe BitDefender on top or Malwarebytes free. WebThis isn't new. BitDefender, Kaspersky and Eset have been jockeying for top spot for several years. BitDefender is more often than not #1, with Kaspersky and Eset fighting for 2nd place, although in the past 8 years or so Kaspersky has been winning that fight. WebMalwarebytes free is just a scanner, you can just scan and stuff and it will only help you if you got infected and you scanned. I recommend using it as a scanner. So in my conclusion, it is best as a scanner, but not great as an AV. I only recommend using Malwarebytes [paid] beside another AV.
